Lunch Club is one of MBC’s longest running groups. Led by our Seniors’ Worker Rachel Beedle, who is ably assisted by a brilliant team of drivers, cooks and befrienders, Lunch Club, for many who attend is the highlight of their week.
The programme Rachel organises is as varied as the delicious lunches her guests enjoy: visits from jugglers and clowns to skittles and “All Our Yesterdays” type quizzes.
On the odd occasion Lunch Club has an Away Day – usually to one of Leeds’ famed fish and chip restaurants.
Picked up and “chauffeured” back to their homes, Lunch Club really is a joy to visit.
